Police will be recruiting constables,
drivers in the department. Notification regarding Chandigarh Police
Constable Vacancies has been advertised now as their was lack of staff in department.
There have been no recruitment for a long time for such posts in the
department. There will be recruitment of 520 constables in CHD police under the
latest advertisement.
Chandigarh Administration, Police Department has
issued an employment notification for recruitment to 520 posts of Constable in
Chandigarh Police in pay scale of Rs.10300 – 34800/-.Candidates having
requisite qualifications may apply online through Chandigarh Police's website
from 1st December 2015 to 31st December 2015

Scale of Pay => Rs.10300 – 34800/- with Grade Pay Rs. 3200/- plus
allowances
Age Limit => Age limit for constable posts should be 18 to 25 years
for General Category, 18 to 28 years for OBC category and 18 to 30 years for SC
category as on 1st January 2015.Relaxation in upper age limit will be given as
per Govt rules.
Eligibility Criteria:-
- Educational Condition= Candidate must be 12th class pass.
- Driving License= It is essential for all category candidates except women candidates to have a valid driving license.
- Height= 170 c.m.s for Males while 157.5 c.m.s for females.
- Chest (only for male candidates)= 84-88 c.m.s. Minimum 5 c.m.s expansion (fulaav) is must.
Selection Process => Selection process will consist of Physical Efficiency
& Measurement Test (PE&MT) and Written Test.Physical Efficiency &
Measurement Test will be start in February 2016 at Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh
and IRB Complex Sarangpur.
Application Fee:-
- Candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- for General & OBC through Bank, payable to Chandigarh Police.
- No fee for SC & Ex Servicemen candidates.
