The Central Board of Secondary Education has published an advertisement about Joint Entrance Examination JEE Main 2016 on its official website at www.jeemain.nic.in. The CBSE Board is inviting Online Application from Intermediate (HSC/10+2) passed candidates for admission into Undergraduate Engineering Courses in NITs, IIITs and Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions funded by participating State Governments. The candidates, who are going to complete their 10+2 (Intermediate) in 2016, are also eligible to apply for JEE Main 2016 Exam via official website at www.jeemain.nic.

JEE Main 2016 is a Joint Entrance Examination conducted by CBSE, Delhi for the admission of aspirants in India’s most well-known and reputed engineering colleges such as, NIT's and CFTI's. Applicants can fill the application form from November 2015. JEE is the biggest engineering exam in India. As IIT's and ISM are the premier engineering and science colleges in India, the candidates have to clear the second level of exam JEE Advanced for securing admission in them. Applicants who are in top of JEE Main are only eligible to appear for JEE Advanced exam.

Paper 1 in Online & Offline Mode of JEE Main 2016 Exam:

Paper 1: All Other Undergraduate courses (B.E/B.Tech)

Paper 2 in Offline Mode only:

Paper 2: B.Arch/B.Planning (At Institutions other than IITs)

Age Limit (Date of Birth)=>

The General Category candidate must have been born on or after 01 October 1991.

The SC/ST/PWD Category candidate must have been born on or after 01 October 1986.

Educational Qualification=>

The candidate must have passed 12^th Class (HSC/Intermediate/10+2) in Science from a recognized education board in 2014 or 2015.

The candidates who are going to appear in HSC/12^th Class Final Exam in February/March 2016, are also eligible to participate in JEE Main 2016 Exam.

The candidates who are going to complete their Intermediate/12^th Class in 2017 are NOT eligible for JEE Main 2016 Exam.

Selection Procedure=>

The Authority will select the candidates for admission into various NITs, IIITs and Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions on the basis of Rank/Merit List.

• The candidate must have scanned copies of recent passport size photo, signature and left hand thumb impression before applying online for JEE Main 2016.

• Find out Information Bulletin of JEE Main 2016 and select the link to download it as PDF.
• Open the JEE Main 2016 Information Bulletin and read it thoroughly.
• Get back to official website homepage and select Online Application link.
• Fill up the Online Application Form with required personal and education details.
• Upload your Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression images as per instructions
